We’re looking for a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) who wants to put their skills to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment where quality care and compassion go hand in hand. This position is structured in compliance with Illinois law, including Illinois HB 3360.
What You’ll Do
- Handle and provide care with confidence using Fear Free methods (training provided).
- Perform blood draws, catheter placement, and administer SQ/IM/IV injections.
- Calculate dosages and administer medications and vaccines.
- Lead anesthesia support including induction, intubation, and surgical monitoring.
- Assist in exams and treatment planning.
- Maintain detailed, accurate medical records with timely entry into database.
- Respond to client and team requests with professionalism and efficiency.
What You Bring
- Current Illinois CVT, LVT, or RVT credentials required.
- Availability: weekdays (morning, afternoon, evenings), as well as nights, weekends, and non-standard hours as needed.
- Strong technical and clinical skills.
- Exemplary client service and communication skills appropriate to audience.
- Adaptive to changing priorities and multi-tasking.
- Ability to stay calm, focused, and effective in a fast-paced environment.
- Confidence working with animals of varying temperaments and medical needs.
