Lead a Project That Helps Animals

Anderson Humane welcomes the efforts of youth who are working to become leaders and contributors in their communities.

Volunteers must be 16 or older. Participants ages 11 and up may take part in Scout projects with prior approval from an Anderson Humane project leader, and must be assigned age-appropriate tasks.

Over the years, Anderson Humane has been fortunate to benefit from many meaningful projects completed by Scouts and youth leaders. These projects help improve our facilities, enrich the lives of animals in our care, and strengthen our ability to serve the community.

Projects may take place at either of our locations (depending on project needs and availability):

Main Shelter
1000 S. La Fox St.
South Elgin, IL 60177

Wildlife Rehabilitation Center – Elburn Forest Preserve
45W061 IL-38
Elburn, IL 60119
