Scout projects improve our facilities, enrich the lives of animals in our care, and strengthen our ability to serve the community.

Before You Plan

Volunteers must be 16 or older. Participants ages 11 and up may take part with prior approval from an Anderson Humane project leader and must be assigned age-appropriate tasks.

How Scout
Projects Work

1. Submit your request. Tell us about your award, proposed project, interests, and why you chose Anderson Humane.

2. Connect with our team. A project leader will review current needs, timing, responsibilities, and whether the project is a good fit.

3. Plan and lead. Approved projects may take place at our Main Shelter in South Elgin or Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Elburn, depending on project needs and availability.
