Our Director of Marketing & Creative Services plays a critical role in shaping how our community experiences the organization by expanding our reach, strengthening donor engagement, and elevating the stories of the animals and people we proudly serve. This innovative leader guides our marketing strategy while bringing strong creative instincts and design expertise to the work. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a creative doer; someone who can see the big picture while also rolling up their sleeves to produce compelling visual and digital content.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the strategy and execution of integrated marketing and social media initiatives that support fundraising, programs, and events using data-driven storytelling and content strategy to deepen audience engagement and advance Anderson Humane’s mission.
- Provide creative direction for all visual assets while contributing hands-on design work for key campaigns, ensuring exceptional quality and consistent brand standards across all materials.
- Oversee visual identity, and messaging guidelines across all platforms.
- Analyze marketing, fundraising, and engagement data to guide strategic decisions and identify opportunities for social media amplification, partnerships, and brand visibility.
- Collaborate closely with Development and Program teams to support fundraising appeals, donor communications, and special campaigns.
- Guide content strategy and storytelling to elevate impact, urgency, and emotional connection.
- Mentor and supervise the Marketing & Social Media Manager; provide performance guidance, goal-setting support, and opportunities for professional development.
- Support the strategic recruitment and use of volunteers contributing to marketing and creative initiatives.
What To Expect

- Exposure to loud noises and potential animal-related risks, like bites and zoonotic illnesses.
- To be physically active; walking, standing, and lifting (up to 50 pounds with assistance) throughout the workday.
- The need for safety awareness, we do work with animals after all.
- Occasional interaction with domestic and wildlife animals.
What You’ll Love
- Annual Salary: $60,000 – $75,000 commensurate with professional experience and commitment to the organization’s mission.
