Healing Paws Comfort Animal Program
Think your pet could be a Healing Paws comfort animal? Have them evaluated and find out! Anderson Humane’s volunteer program facilitates visits to senior centers, schools, and other places where people need the healing presence of animals. A minimum commitment of 2 hours per month is required.

Each evaluation will be 20 minutes long and must be scheduled prior to attending. There is a $50 fee for evaluation.
Dogs being evaluated at PetSuites must be up-to-date on rabies, DHPP (distemper), bordetella, and H3N2/H3N8 (canine influenza/CIV) vaccines. If your dog is not currently vaccinated with the CIV, PetSuites allows for a 1-time, 30-day waiver for each client. PetSuites will receive electronic copies of vaccination records for all dogs registered before the animal arrives for their scheduled session.
Records can be emailed to krakunas@ahconnects.org and MUST be provided a minimum of 2 weeks before your evaluation date, and will be shared with PetSuites.
The evaluations are held at PetSuites, 2790 W. Main Street, St. Charles, IL 60175. NOTE: This is NOT the South Elgin Shelter.
