Wild Days at Fydoland
This is a monthly, hands-on wildlife education series featuring a rotating cast of animal ambassadors and interactive experiences for curious minds.
Each session explores a different aspect of our local wildlife, the work of wildlife rehabilitation, and simple ways you can support the wild neighbors who share our communities. Through stories, up-close encounters, and immersive activities, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the animals around us and the important role they play in our ecosystem.
Session Topics Include:
Session 1 – Wildlife Encounters (3/2/2026)
Meet our Wildlife Ambassadors and learn their stories, how they came to us, and their role in the ecosystem.
Session 2 – Wildly Coexisting (4/6/2026)
Discover common wildlife conflicts and practical tips for living peacefully alongside our wild neighbors.
Session 3 – Wildlife Warriors (5/4/2026)
Learn about wildlife rehabilitation and how you can make a difference for wildlife in your everyday life.
Session 4 – Tales and Tails (6/1/2026)
Enjoy a storytime experience alongside one of our animal ambassadors.
Session 5 – Mission Possible (7/6/2026)
Step into the shoes of a wildlife rehabilitator and follow an animal’s journey from rescue to release.
Session 6 – Feathered Journeys (8/3/2026)
Explore the wonders of migration and learn which animals travel south and which brave the winter months.
This series runs on the first Monday of each month from March through August 2026.
Cost: $20 per person per session, or register for five sessions and receive the sixth free. To redeem the multi-session discount, email wleducation@ahconnects.org.
Designed for ages 9 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult chaperone. A completed waiver is required prior to attending your first session and should be emailed to wleducation@ahconnects.org.
