We are thrilled to celebrate a historic milestone at Anderson Humane: our 3,000th adoption this year! The lucky pup who marked this achievement is Lionel, a playful and charming 3-month-old Black Labrador Retriever.
Lionel found his loving home during our Geneva Adopt & Shop Event on October 18th, where families came out to meet adorable dogs and puppies ready to start their new chapters. One of the highlights of the day was the Ahmad family meeting Lionel at Harvey’s Tales, a local bookstore and coffee shop that partnered with us for the event. From the moment Lionel met his new family, it was clear this was the perfect match: wagging tails, excited cuddles, and big smiles all around.
This milestone is more than a number; it represents 3,000 lives transformed, countless happy tails, and the dedication of our adopters, fosters, volunteers, and supporters. Every adoption is a story of connection, hope, and second chances.
Lionel’s adoption is a reminder of why we do what we do: helping pets find loving homes where they can thrive, feel safe, and bring joy to their families.
