Wildlife Interns Needed!
Thinking about a career working in conservation, wildlife, zoology, or a similar field, but don’t know where to start?
Try it out, get more experience, and/or jumpstart your career through an internship at Anderson Humane!
Wildlife rehabilitation interns learn all aspects of wildlife rehabilitation including; orphan feeding, animal husbandry, medication administration, wound care, bandages, release criteria, answering phones, intaking animals from the public, and more. Interns will also get to work closely with our Wildlife Allies program which rescues local wildlife and assists with humane solutions for nuisance animals. Work is performed at our South Elgin & Elburn IL Anderson Humane locations.
We have only a few spots available for Wildlife Rehabilitation Interns for the Fall ‘23 session (August through October). Anderson Interns must be able to dedicate a minimum of 20 hours per week with weekend availability. We can work with your school for course credit as this is an unpaid internship.
Interested? Email a cover letter and resume to Stephanie Franczak, Anderson’s Wildlife Rehabilitation Manager at sfranczak@ahconnects.org.
