And your journey doesn’t end there…we’ll be by your side with low-cost training\, low-cost veterinary care\, and ongoing support to help you build a lifelong bond. \nNo appointments. No holds. No second chances. \nIf you see your match… act fast because someone else will! \nBe there early. Be ready. Go home with your new best friend. \n \nFAQ\nWhat do I need to bring to adopt? \nYou’ll need to bring a valid ID and form of payment; we accept card and cash. \nHow do I know who will be available for adoption at this event? \nOnce we know which adoptables will be attending this event\, they’ll be posted below! Keep a lookout a day or two before the event. \nCan I put a hold on a dog or cat? \nWe do not place holds on adoptables; we want to be fair to all folks who are interested. \nWill there be adult dogs too\, or only puppies? \nWe typically bring lots of puppies; they’re usually very resilient and eager to make new friends! Adoption events can be stressful for adult dogs\, so we only bring adult dogs we know would be well-suited for a crowded event. \nWill there be adult cats too\, or only kittens? \nWe will only be bringing kittens to the event\, no adult cats.  \n \nWhat time should I get there? \nHistorically\, there has typically been a line to get into this adoption event. Anderson Humane’s volunteer program facilitates visits to senior centers\, schools\, and other places where people need the healing presence of animals. A minimum commitment of 2 hours per month is required. \nTo schedule an evaluation\, please click here. For more information\, please contact Kelly Rakunas at 847.697.2880 x29 or krakunas@ahconnects.org. \nEach evaluation will be 20 minutes long and must be scheduled prior to attending. There is a $50 fee for evaluation.  \nDogs being evaluated at PetSuites must be up-to-date on rabies\, DHPP (distemper)\, bordetella\, and H3N2/H3N8 (canine influenza/CIV) vaccines. If your dog is not currently vaccinated with the CIV\, PetSuites allows for a 1-time\, 30-day waiver for each client. PetSuites will receive electronic copies of vaccination records for all dogs registered before the animal arrives for their scheduled session. \nRecords can be emailed to krakunas@ahconnects.org and MUST be provided a minimum of 2 weeks before your evaluation date\, and will be shared with PetSuites. \nThe evaluations are held at PetSuites\, 2790 W.
