DESCRIPTION:Help us reach our goal of connecting 1\,000 homeless dogs and cats with the loving homes they deserve.\nThe Road Home Adoption Event will be taking place on Saturday\, June 21\, 2025 at Brilliance Subaru in Elgin from 11am – 3pm\, as part of Anderson Humane’s ongoing partnerships. Our goal is to reach 1000 adoptions by the conclusion of this event. What better way to bring an animal into your life than adopting a pet in need of a home? We are excited to help you discover your furry companion and look forward to seeing you at our adoption event! \n  \n  \n\nAnderson Humane places 4\,000 homeless pets into loving homes and rehabilitates 3\,000 injured or orphaned wild animals every year. Through the support of our community\, we have found forever homes for more than 80\,000 pets since our founding more than 50 years ago. We are passionate about caring for animals and about creating meaningful human-animal connections. We know that animals make us better people\, and we want as many people in our community as possible to experience that truth firsthand.

DESCRIPTION:Healing Paws Comfort Animal Therapy Program\nThink your pet could be a Healing Paws comfort therapy animal? Have them evaluated and find out! Anderson Humane’s volunteer program facilitates visits to senior centers\, schools\, and other places where people need the healing presence of animals. A minimum commitment of 2 hours per month is required. \nTo schedule an evaluation\, please click here. For more information\, please contact Kelly Rakunas at 847.697.2880 x29 or krakunas@ahconnects.org. \nEach evaluation will be 20 minutes long and must be scheduled prior to attending. There is a $50 fee for evaluation.
