The Chicago Wolves announced a “Season of Giving” initiative, pledging to donate $3 million to local charities during the 2026-27 season.
Anderson Humane is honored to be one of 46 Chicagoland charities selected, and we will receive a gift of $75,000. A gift of this size will make a real difference for the animals and families who rely on us across Kane County and greater Chicagoland.
The announcement was made on September 22 at Harry Caray’s Italian Steakhouse, where owner Don Levin and other Wolves executives were joined by representatives of many of the charities receiving donations. Wolves President of Operations Courtney Mahoney said the team has worked with many of these charities already and knows the gifts will be game-changing. This is one of the largest amounts given in a single season by a Chicago professional sports organization. The recipients include food pantries, animal shelters, and groups supporting first responders, veterans, children and families, and people facing health and mental health challenges, and we are honored to be in such strong company.
To the Chicago Wolves, Don Levin, Courtney Mahoney, and the entire Wolves organization, thank you for choosing Anderson Humane and for investing in the animals, people, and communities of Chicagoland. We are proud to be a Wolves partner.
Many of the donations will be presented on the ice at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, beginning with the Wolves’ home opener on October 10. Anderson Humane’s official check presentation will take place at the Wolves Teddy Bear Toss game on December 12 against the Rockford IceHogs. Come be part of the celebration!
