Carole’s Journey: Helping Dogs Find Their Way Home

As Told by Carole Krajeski: Dedicated Foster

This week, as we celebrate Volunteer Appreciation Week, we are shining a light on Carole Krajeski. For over three years, Carole has dedicated her heart and her home to the animals of Anderson Humane as a volunteer foster. Her inspiration for Anderson was simple and powerful: a sincere desire to help dogs find the loving homes they truly deserve.

The Transformation of Jax

One of the most rewarding aspects of fostering is watching an animal’s spirit change once they leave the shelter environment. For Carole, one of her favorite experiences was working with her favorite pup, Jax. She remembers the profound impact of taking home a scared puppy and watching him transform into a confident companion. By providing a patient and steady presence, Carole helps these vulnerable animals find their footing, turning fear into trust and preparing them for a lifetime of love.

The Heart of Fostering

To Carole, fostering is a vital opportunity to help dogs in need during their most transitional moments. She understands that the work she does in her own home makes a direct difference in an animal’s future. By giving a dog a safe place to land, she ensures they are happy, healthy, and ready to meet their future families. Her three-year commitment is a testament to the fact that fostering isn’t just about providing a temporary roof – it’s about being the bridge to a brand-new life.

Building a Legacy of Kindness

Carole’s consistent dedication reminds us that providing a home, even for a short time, changes the trajectory of an animal’s life. Through her quiet advocacy and years of service, she has helped countless dogs find their way to a good home. During Volunteer Appreciation Week, we celebrate Carole for her compassion and for always being ready to welcome a dog in need into her care.
