Story #15 of 60: Love Multiplied by Two

We adopted Maddie when she was a two-year-old black short-haired kitty, and from the very beginning, she was full of personality. She was playful, social, and endlessly entertaining. She quickly became the center of our home and brought us so much joy every single day.
About a year later, we returned to Anderson Humane because we knew Maddie would love a companion. That is when we met Lyn, a sweet tuxedo kitty with the gentlest nature. Bringing Lyn home was one of the best decisions we made. The two of them formed a special bond and filled our home with warmth, comfort, and companionship.
Maddie lived a long and beautiful life of 20 years. While Lyn’s time with us was shorter, the love she gave and the memories we share with her will always stay in our hearts. Both cats made our lives richer, brighter, and more complete simply by being part of our family.
We feel incredibly grateful that Maddie and Lyn were part of our lives. Anderson Humane made it possible for us to find two truly special cats, and we were so lucky to call them ours. Our home was better because of them, and our hearts were forever changed by the love they shared with us.
